Weingut Kornell, Siebeneich/Terlan/Etschtal
Florian Brigl
The ancestors of the Brigl family were first documented as wine growers in South Tyrol in the 16th century. The Kornell estate in Siebeneich/Settequerce near Terlan/Terlano - officially recorded in the 14th century - has, however, been the property of the Brigl family only since 1927. Today the family tradition of wine growing rests in the hands of Florian and Manuela Brigl. The vineyards extend over 11 hectares in Eppan Berg/Appiano Monte at 270 to 550 metres above sea level. Here Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon prosper, as do Lagrein and St. Magdalener. The southern exposure and the sandy clay soil with a large amount of decomposed porphyry form ideal conditions for exceptional wines, maturing in the ancient cellars of the estate. Elegance, structure and richness are characteristic of our wines. Their bouquet promises a special delight.
