Family Berger has been cultivating the Thurnhof since 160 years and produces precious wines with great character since six generations – from Franz Mumelter up to Hans and Andreas Berger. The Thurnhof with its vineyards extends over the historic terrain at Virgl/Virgolo above Haslach/Aslago, part of the town Bozen/Bolzano. In this calm and idyllic area, wine has been pressed for monasteries and aristocracy already hundreds of years ago. The passion to produce excellent wines has remained at Thurnhof until today. The result is an exceptional wine-growing estate, where today's owner and winemaker Andreas Berger, with heart and expert knowledge, develops fine quality wines with great personality, such as Goldmuskateller and Sauvignon, the main grape varieties Lagrein and Vernatsch, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Merlot.
