The Strickerhof located to the southwest of Bolzano has been a family-owned estate since 1834. In 1907 Josef Paul Kasseroller opened a new wine cellar in addition to his agricultural activity. In 1998 the entire family business was turned into one of the first organic viticulture enterprises, following the strict Bioland guidelines. The humus around the winery consists of rich, sandy loamy soils, suitable for the cultivation of superior red wines. Also apples, pears and various pitted fruits derive their ideal conditions from this terroir.
