For generations now, wine has been cultivated at the historic Steidlerhof above Bozen/Bolzano. The sunny St. Magdalena hill offers optimal conditions for autochthonous and robust wines. The mild climate and loose moraine soil, combined with years of experience, cause the grapes to grow magnificently. Since 2005, Claudia and Rudolf Gasser have been pressing Vernatsch, St. Magdalener, Lagrein, Cabernet, Rosenmuskateller and Sauvignon in their own cellars. The historic Steidlerhof winery was renovated with great care to meet contemporary requirements and expectations. It now boasts a new wine tavern with a large window boasting a spectacular view of the mountains. The farm invites guests to a cosy setting for the tasting of home-made wines.
