The Föranerhof is situated on the southern slopes of the Ritten/Renon plateau, below the village Unterinn/Auna Di Sotto at an altitude of 850m. This family-run business is managed by Verena and Anton Mittelberger and their children Cecilia and Franz. The farm also consists of a market garden where bedded, balcony and young vegetable plants are cultivated. The fruits are then processed into jams and syrups which are sold directly from the farm or at the farmers’ markets in Klobestein/Collalbo and Upper Bolzano. The farm also has several types of vines growing on an area of 8,000 m², with the majority of the grapes cellared and processed on site to produce Mueller Thurgau and Sylvaner, two spicy, fruity and aromatic white wines. The red wines Zweigelt and Vernatsch are also produced at the Föranerhof. The Zweigelt grapes mature for more than two years inside wooded barrels, and the lighter Vernatsch can also be tasted while still young.
