Untermoserhof is situated below the little Maria Magdalena church with a view of Eisacktal/Val d'Isarco and the Rosengarten/Catinaccio summits. Viniculture has been a tradition here since the year 1630. The location on the southern side of the main crest of the Alps bestows sunny days with high average temperatures on the South Tyrolean wine growers. The steep vineyards in St. Magdalena are also situated in an optimally sunny position. A chilly wind from the mountains blows through the vineyards during the night, providing the wines with their typical freshness and clear structure. Georg Ramoser cultivates 4 hectares and produces about 35,000 bottles of Chardonnay, St. Magdalener, Lagrein and Merlot each year. St. Magdalener has always been cultivated in a classical way here, thus remaining true to tradition. The dark Lagrein is also experiencing a renaissance today as a typical South Tyrolean wine with a deep and balanced aroma.
